'CADEAUX AL CASTELLO', IL MERCATINO DI NATALE NEL CASTELLO DI LIMATOLA

E' arrivata ormai alla quinta, fortunata edizione la bellissima manifestazione “Cadeaux al castello”, i mercatini di Natale ospitati nella magica cornice del Castello di Limatola.

I mercatini, quest'anno, hanno trovato spazio nei seguenti giorni: 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23 novembre e ininterrottamente dal 28 novembre all'8 dicembre.

Ancora in fila per prendere i ticket di ingresso, già si respira l'atmosfera unica ricreata dagli organizzatori.

COSA VEDERE A CRACOVIA IN 3 GIORNI

Cracovia ha un pregio che noterete presto: è terribilmente accogliente: appena arrivati, vi darà subito l'impressione di essere a casa.

Io ci ho soggiornato una decina di giorni(con una breve escursione nella capitale Varsavia della quale vi parlerò a breve), ma, per chi ha meno tempo, un week-end lungo può essere sufficiente.

Vediamo un po', quindi, dove andare e cosa vedere:

Ogni volta che organizzo un nuovo viaggio cerco sempre una sistemazione in hotel.
La verità è che non sono per niente amante degli ostelli.
E' vero, l'ambiente degli ostelli è giovane e vivace, ma non riesco proprio a stare a mio agio in stanze minimal, spesso condivise, e bagno in comune.

Every time I organize a new trip I always look for a hotel accommodation.
The truth is that I don't like the hostels.
It 's true, the environment of the hostels is young and vibrant, but I can not feel at my ease in minimal, often shared, rooms and shared bathroom.

COSA FARE E VEDERE A BRATISLAVA

La capitale della Slovacchia è la città dell'Europa dell'Est che meno mi ha colpito. Non venite qui sperando di ritrovare le atmosfere di Budapest, Cracovia, Bucarest o Varsavia: rimarrete delusi!

Io ci sono stata diversi giorni durante un bellissimo tour tra Budapest, Vienna e, appunto, Bratislava, di cui vi parlerò a breve.

The capital of Slovakia is the Eastern European city that I liked less. Do not come here hoping to find the atmosphere of Budapest, Krakow, Warsaw and Bucharest, Bratislava is really different!

UN TOUR IN ROMANIA TRA I CASTELLI DELLA TRANSILVANIA

La Romania è una nazione veramente sottovalutata. Una meta turistica che ha veramente tanto da offrire ma che, purtroppo, non viene adeguatamente valorizzata e pubblicizzata all'estero(anche se, forse, tutto questo è un bene: così, lontana dal turismo di massa, potrà conservare i suoi tratti caratteristici e unici più a lungo di tante altre città che la globalizzazione ha livellato e cambiato radicalmente).

Il periodo migliore per visitarla sono, senza dubbio, i mesi tra novembre e dicembre: i fantastici paesaggi innevati e le rarefatte atmosfere invernali vi faranno venire la voglia di non tornare più a casa.

Romania is an underestimated country. A holiday destination that has much to offer, but that, unfortunately, is not properly valued and publicized abroad (although, perhaps, this is a good thing: so, far from mass tourism, it will retain its characteristic feature).
The best period to visit Romania is between November and December: the fantastic snowy landscapes are really stunning.

ITINERARIO GRECIA LOW COST: DAL MARE ALLE MONTAGNE

Quando si parla di Grecia, sembra si possa parlare solo delle sue bellissime isole, ma chi ha avuto la fortuna di visitarla, sa bene che anche la Grecia continentale ha tanto da offrire.

BUCAREST, LA PICCOLA PARIGI DELLA ROMANIA

La piccola Parigi, nomignolo che la capitale rumena si è giustamente meritata, non ha nulla da invidiare alle sorelle europee più blasonate.

Appena arrivati in città, vi renderete conto che qui tutto è in fermento, tutto è in grande ripresa: i cantieri aperti sono tantissimi, moltissimi i lavori di ristrutturazione e di mantenimento.
Bucarest sembra proprio una città che fa di tutto per riprendersi e per ricordare a se stessa quanto bella sia(immagino tra un po' di tempo, se tutto andrà per il verso giusto, che spettacolo diventerà!).

The Little Paris, nickname that the Romanian capital has rightly deserved, has nothing to envy to the most renowned European sisters.
Just arrived in the city, you will realize that everything is in great revival: there are a lot of building sites, many renovations and maintenance.
Bucharest looks like a city that does everything possible to recover and to remind herself how good it is.

BRASOV E LA MAGIA DEL NATALE IN ROMANIA

Brasov, una città che meriterebbe ben altra risonanza.

Principale città della Transilvania, è un posto stupendo per passare le vacanze natalizie.

SALONICCO: LA SECONDA CAPITALE GRECA

Salonicco, la seconda capitale greca (così chiamata non solo per la sua estensione, ma anche perchè è la capitale della Macedonia del Nord), non è una città in cui vi consiglierei di trascorrere una vacanza, ma qualunque sia il motivo che vi spinga in questa metropoli greca, tranquilli, anche questo luogo ha i suoi aspetti positivi.
Vediamo quali sono.

Thessaloniki, the second capital of Greece (so called not only for its size, but also because it is the capital of Northern Macedonia), is a city where I would not recommend you spend a vacation, but for whatever reason you to stay in this city, don't worry, this place has its good points!

SIGHISOARA: LA CITTÀ DEL CONTE DRACULA

Quali giornate più adatte, se non i primi di novembre, con Halloween appena trascorso, per parlarvi della bellissima Sighisoara, città natale del Conte Dracula?

ATLANTIC CITY: LA CAPITALE DEL CATTIVO GUSTO

Atlantic City è un posto veramente folle, ve l'assicuro!

Una piccola e molto meno conosciuta Las Vegas, affacciata sul glaciale Atlantico, che vi darà una chiarissima e perentoria idea di quanto siano matti gli americani.
Ma, prima di immergerci in questa capitale dell'esagerazione e del cattivo gusto, qualche info pratica su come raggiungerla e su come muoversi una volta arrivati.
Io ho raggiunto Atlantic City da New York e vi ho soggiornato per un paio di giorni(se non siete degli accaniti giocatori d'azzardo, vi sconsiglio di prolungare la vostra permanenza oltre i tre giorni; due notti sono perfette per rendersi conto di che strambo posto sia questo!). 

Atlantic City is a really crazy place, I assure you that!  
A small and less well-known Las Vegas, overlooking the glacial Atlantic, which will give you a clear and peremptory idea of how crazy are the Americans. 
But before we dive in this capital of exaggeration and bad taste, some practical info on how to get there and how to get around once you arrive.  
I reached Atlantic City from New York and I stayed there for a couple of days (if you are not an avid gamblers, I don't recommend you extend your stay beyond three days; two nights are perfect to realize that this is a weird city).

COSA MANGIARE IN GRECIA

Se c'è una cosa che non manca in Grecia, è sicuramente la buona ristorazione.

Anche nei centri più piccoli, nei borghi meno abitati, non avrete mai difficoltà a trovare qualche bel posto dove consumare un ottimo pasto.
Taverne come se piovesse, bar ad ogni angolo di strada, fast-food su ogni marciapiede: per scegliere il vostro pranzo o la vostra cena avrete solo l'imbarazzo della scelta.

One of the best things in Greece is the good food.  
Even in smaller towns, little villages, you will never have trouble finding some nice place to have a great meal.  
Tavernas like rain, bars on every street corner, fast-food restaurants on every sidewalk: to choose your lunch or your dinner will be spoiled for choice.

GRECIA LOW COST: L'INCREDIBILE SPETTACOLO DELLE METEORE

Meteora, letteralmente "in mezzo all'aria", è una suggestiva località della Grecia Settentrionale, sede di un complesso di monasteri patrimonio dell'Unesco.
Non ne avevo mai sentito parlare prima, ma, mentre sfogliavo le guide di viaggio in libreria (mia passione!), la foto di un piccolo monastero costruito su uno sperone di roccia mi ha rapita a tal punto da farmi decidere, in quel preciso istante, che quel luogo non poteva assolutamente aspettare.
Per cui, tornata a casa, mi sono subito messa all'opera per organizzare la vacanza al meglio, e i prezzi bassi di aereo e alloggi hanno remato a mio favore, per fortuna!
La mia vacanza è durata 10 giorni e, dal momento che sono partita ad Agosto, ne ho approfittato per rilassarmi un po' sotto il sole della Grecia. 
Dopo aver raggiunto Salonicco con volo Ryanair e aver trascorso una settimana tra le magnifiche spiagge della Penisola Calcidica (leggi qui), sono partita alla scoperta di uno dei luoghi più mozzafiato d'Europa: Meteora.

Meteora, literally "in the middle of the sky", is a picturesque town of Northern Greece. It is one of the largest and most important complexes of Orthodox monasteries, included on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
I had never heard about it before, but while flipping through the travel guides in the library (my passion!), a picture of a small monastery built on a spur of rock kidnapped me so much that I decided, at that precise moment, that this place could not wait.  
So, when I came back home, I immediately set to work to organize the vacation to the fullest, and the low prices of plane and accommodation helped me, fortunately!  
My vacation lasted 10 days and, as I left in August, I took the opportunity to relax under the sun of Greece.  
After reaching Thessaloniki with Ryanair flight and spending a week among the beautiful beaches of Chalkidiki (read more), I started to discover one of the most breathtaking places in Europe: Meteora.

GRECIA LOW COST: AL MARE IN PENISOLA CALCIDICA!

La penisola calcidica è un sogno per tutti gli amanti del mare e del relax.
Chilometri di spiagge, romantici ristorantini, strutture alberghiere di ottimo livello e per tutte le tasche: non ci vorrà molto prima di innamorarsi completamente di questi luoghi stupendi!
La penisola è divisa in tre piccole dita: Kassandra, Sithonia e Monte Athos.
