In recent times, due to numerous university and work commitments that do not give us the possibility to organize long trips abroad, we are exploring all those wonderful places of our Italy still had not visited.
So, during the Easter holidays we have decided to return to Umbria (region that we liked very much), to move, then, in the fascinating Tuscia.

The first stop of our tour was the city of Terni, famous for its waterfalls.
Despite the steel mills, you can love the beauties of the greenest region of Italy: the scenery is so pleasant and relaxing!
Going to Terni to admire the Marmore Falls is a fantastic trip: the Falls offer a breathtaking sight and different trekking paths very suggestive.

Since during your stay in Terni we wanted to fully enjoy the natural beauty that this region is able to offer, we chose to stay not in the city center, but in a B&B just steps from the Falls.
The B&B La Porta della Valnerina offers large and cared rooms, housed in an old restored farmhouse, surrounded by nature.
In fact, this beautiful property is surrounded by greenery and a river, the Nera, where you can also swim.
Interesting is, then, the presence, a short walk from the house, a tunnel, dug completely by hand in the rock, used as a refuge during World War II.

About Terni, the city does not offer great artistic beauties and historical monuments, having been the victim of numerous bombings during World War II.
However, the narrow streets of the old town that lead to the city's cathedral are very elegant and pleasant to go.
