LA MAGIA DEL FLAMENCO, LA VERA ANIMA DELL'INCANTEVOLE ANDALUSIA

Non si può dire Andalusia senza che la mente corra da sola alla parola flamenco.

Il flamenco è la vera anima di questa splendida regione, il cuore pulsante di questo popolo.

Una musica fatta di poche, semplici cose: una chitarra, una voce, una tavola dove far risuonare i tacchi della ballerina e, più di tutto, un battito di mani che non smette mai di accompagnare, di creare il ritmo.

Andalusia is synonymous with flamenco.
Flamenco is the soul of this beautiful region, the heart of this people.
A music made of a few simple things: a guitar, a voice, a table where the heels of the dancer resound and, most of all, a clapping that never fails to accompany, to create the rhythm.

E' impensabile andare via da questi posti senza aver assistito almeno ad una esibizione di flamenco.

Di posti dove vederlo ce ne sono tantissimi, anche se molti sono delle trappole per turisti.

Io vi lascio un consiglio che ritengo prezioso: se capitate a Siviglia, non dovete assolutamente farvi il torto di rinunciare a una serata a La Carboneria. Si tratta di un locale rustico e profondamente autentico, non facilissimo da trovare(ma tutti i sivigliani vi sapranno dare informazioni a riguardo, proprio come se si trattasse di un monumento storico), situato in Calle Levies.

It 's impossible to get away from these places without having attended at least one performance of flamenco.
There are a lot of places where to the shows, although many are tourist traps.
I leave you some advice that I consider valuable: if you are in Seville, don't miss an evening at La Carboneria. It is a rustic and deeply authentic local, not easy to find, located in Calle Levies.

L'ambiente è molto spartano, semplice: lunghi tavolacci di legno, ventilatori al soffitto, arredamento volutamente spoglio.

Ma qui, quasi ogni sera, tra le 21 e le 22 e fino alle più tarde ore della notte, si tengono spettacoli fantastici di flamenco. Io ho assistito a un'esibizione bellissima, che porterò sempre nei miei ricordi: ritmi veloci eppure malinconici; una voce che fa commuovere; il fantastico ballo della bravissima ballerina; chitarra e mani che accompagnano senza sosta; i tratti somatici misti, gitani degli esecutori che così bene rappresentano questa terra crogiolo e incontro di tante culture e genti.

The environment is very basic, simple long wooden tables, ceiling fans.
But here, almost every night, there are fantastic flamenco shows. I attended a beautiful performance, that I will always carry in my memory: the fast and melancholy pace; a wonderful voice; the great dance of the dancer; the mixed, gypsies facial features of the performers who represent this land, melting point of many cultures and nations.

Gli spettacoli a La Carboneria sono gratuiti, non è richiesta nemmeno la consumazione. E' possibile bere (fanno una buona sangria) e mangiare semplici tapas (la tortilla spagnola era molto buona!) a prezzi convenienti.

Un altro posto da consigliare, sempre a Siviglia, è La Casa della Memoria: anche qui si tengono bellissimi spettacoli di flamenco. Il prezzo per lo spettacolo è di 18 euro, che comprendono anche la visita al museo del flamenco.

Passeggiando per le strade di Siviglia (ma anche per tutte le altre principali città andaluse), verrete letteralmente sommersi dai bigliettini che promuovono i vari locali di flamenco; vi auguro, in ogni caso, di fare la scelta giusta perché si tratta di un'esperienza veramente unica.

Andare via dall'Andalusia senza assistere a uno spettacolo di flamenco è un po come andare a Roma e non vedere il Colosseo: la vera anima andalusa pulsa in quelle corde di chitarra e nei tacchi di quelle scarpe; intensa e irriducibile come tutte le cose autentiche e vere.

At La Carboneria the shows are free,and you can drink and eat simple tapas (the Spanish tortilla was very good!) at reasonable prices.
Another beautiful place, again in Seville, is The House of Memory. Here, the price for the show is 18 euros, including a visit at the museum of flamenco.
Walking through the streets of Seville (but also through the streets of all the other major cities of Andalusia), you will be flooded with the cards that promote the various flamenco shows; I wish you to make the right choice because it is a truly unique experience.
In Andalusia the flamenco show is a must: the real soul of this land pulsates in the guitar chords and in the heels of the shoes.
