Located in the homonymous palace, built by Charles III of Bourbon to expand the already vast hunting and to provide reasonable accommodation to the works of the Farnese collection (inherited from the mother), the Museo di Capodimonte is another wonderful treasure of the city of Naples.

It is one of the most important museums of Europe, divided into three floors: the first floor houses the historic apartment and the Farnese collection; the second gallery with works Neapolitan 200-700; on the third floor are exposed, however, the works of the nineteenth century and contemporary art.

This place is loved by Neapolitans not only for its artistic treasures, but also for its natural beauty.
The Palace is, in fact, surrounded by Bosco di Capodimonte, the only green lung of the city. It is a park full of ancient trees, ideal for walking and relaxing away from the chaos of the city center.
Walking along this beautiful reserve, you will meet also many notable buildings: the ancient seat of the porcelain factory, the Capuchin Monastery and the Casino of the Palace.

The Museo di Capodimonte is, therefore, a must during a stay in the beautiful Naples: thanks to its natural and artistic beauty, it will enchant you for sure!
