Baden-Baden non è solo relax e cultura, tavoli da gioco e terme: anche la gastronomia è di tutto rispetto! Il centro storico è pieno di ristoranti di tutti i tipi, per tutti i palati e per tutte le tasche.
Di seguito, vi lascio alcuni consigli sui miei ristoranti preferiti in città.
Questa lista non può non cominciare se non con il bellissimo e molto caratteristico ristorante Baldreit, un po' nascosto ma in pieno centro, dove siamo stati invitati per una cena dal gentilissimo ufficio del turismo di Baden-Baden.
Baden-Baden is not just relaxation and culture, gaming tables and spas: the local cuisine is very respectable! Below, I leave you some advice about my favorite restaurants in town.
I absolutely have to start from the restaurant Baldreit, a little hidden but in the center, where we were invited to a dinner by the friendly tourist office of Baden-Baden.
Il locale è curatissimo, lo staff gentile, si respira un'atmosfera molto romantica. Nei mesi più caldi è possibile anche mangiare nel grande cortile esterno, circondato da bellissimi palazzi sulle cui mura si arrampicano rigogliosi rampicanti.
The place is well kept, the staff friendly, the atmosphere is very romantic. In the warmer months you can also dine on the large outdoor courtyard, surrounded by beautiful buildings on whose walls climb lush vines.
La cura del locale è esattamente replicata nell'attenzione al vero protagonista: il cibo: qui si mangia davvero bene! Vi consiglio alcune specialità della casa:
maiale in guazzetto di lenticchie con patate;
I recommend some specialties of the house:
Pork with lentils and potatoes;
dei tipici ravioli ripieni di carne;
ravioli with meat;
la sfiziosa Flammkuchen(una specie di pizza tipica dell'Alsazia);
the yummy Flammkuchen(a kind of Alsatian pizza);
e la torta della foresta nera scomposta in bicchiere.
and the black forest cake in the glass.
Impiattamento, ricercatezza e gusto sono ai massimi livelli. I prezzi sono medio-alti, ma la qualità giustifica sicuramente la spesa.
In pieno centro, poi, non potrete non notare il Lowenbrau, un tipico locale di cucina tedesca, sempre pieno di gente, con un arredamento molto particolare e pittoresco. Porzioni grandi, staff simpatico e birra che scorre a fiumi!
Refinement and taste are at the highest levels. The prices are fairly high, but the quality certainly justifies these prices.
In the center, then, you'll notice the Lowenbrau, a typical local of German cuisine, always full of people, really particular and picturesque. Large portions, nice staff and beer flows freely!
Per il capitolo dolci, mi sento di consigliarvi il café-pasticceria Konig.
About cakes, I suggest you the Konig cafè.
Si tratta di un elegante café con una bellissima sala ma anche con tanti tavolini all'esterno. Nonostante il locale sia molto ricercato e sciccoso, i prezzi non sono per niente proibitivi.

Who loves oriental cuisine, then, in the center, not far from the Lowenbrau, will find the Chinese-Vietnamese restaurant Lotus.
E' un piccolo locale, semplice ma curato, dove la qualità dei cibi proposti farà ricredere anche il più convinto detrattore della cucina cinese.

Who loves oriental cuisine, then, in the center, not far from the Lowenbrau, will find the Chinese-Vietnamese restaurant Lotus.
E' un piccolo locale, semplice ma curato, dove la qualità dei cibi proposti farà ricredere anche il più convinto detrattore della cucina cinese.
Vi lascio con un'ultima piccola chicca: nel centro di Baden-Baden, è possibile mangiare anche nel particolare fast-food Nordsee. Si tratta di un fast-food di solo pesce, abbastanza diffuso in Nord Europa ma che ancora non ha trovato spazio da noi in Italia: un'ottima alternativa, per i più giovani e per chi vuole spendere poco, ai panini plastificati del McDonald's.
E' chiaro: i posti per mangiare a Baden-Baden non mancano: avrete solo l'imbarazzo della scelta su dove prenotare il vostro tavolo!
